TECH - TECH ARMOR
Protect yourself with this holographic armor or detonate it to damage nearby enemies. This power does reduce Power Cool Down times. Tech Armor is completely incompatible with Biotic Barriers and the two cannot be combined.
Activating this Tech Power takes a supplemental action and provides a character with Armor 1 against all attacks. This stacks with any Shields or Armor the character may already have. It also does NOT cause stress on the System Stress Track. The main difference between this and standard kinetic shields is that it reacts as Armor against penetration. It will also remain in place until detonated or deactivated even if its armor is exceeded by an attack. As with Barriers it can be detonated against a single target in the same zone for a Weapon 2 attack. The attacker rolls his Systems skill against the defender’s Athletics. This action drops the Tech Armor for that full Exchange and costs a point of stress on the System Stress Track. Power Skills (Tech Mastery and Biotics) can only be used every other Exchange while Tech Armor is active.
- Increased Damage
The detonation can be increased by 2 for a maximum of Weapon 4 for an additional Refresh.
- Increased Radius
Increase the radius of the detonation. Reduce the damage caused by the detonation by 2 to affect all targets within the same zone.
- Increased Durability
Increase the Armor of the character by 1 for a maximum of 2.
- Increase Power Recharge
Power Skills can be used every Exchange instead of every other Exchange while the Tech Armor is active.
- Double Omni Blades
Damage with an Omni Blade is increased by 2 for a maximum of Weapon 4.
